DIP switches & SIP switches are commonly used in electronic devices such as computers, hand held devices, small home appliances and in automotive safety features. DIP switches are typically characterised by a rectangular casing and two rows of connecting terminals set in parallel. Many DIP switches & SIP switches offer characteristics such as dustproofing, waterproofing or weather resistance. SIP switches, meanwhile, have a single row of connection pins set as part of a computer chip package.
